TapiRex

This software provides caller-id to incoming calls at the company branch exchange.

This software can add caller-id notifications, detailed information on caller, extended actions during phone calls and ability to reject incoming calls to the features available in existing PBXs. This tool is able to provide you details of who is calling as soon as your phone rings. TapiRex will check your contacts and show the name, image and any other additional information available on the caller. There is a SDK version available if you wanted to integrate features of Tapi Rex with your application. The contact details could be stored on database or imported from MS Outlook, Skype or Windows address book. It is also possible that you hear the contact name spoken out through the Windows speech output feature. When there is no detail available in your database, the software searches the net to find details.

The imported contacts can be transferred to any other computer. It will be possible to show incoming calls with name and image of caller on other computer that may not have Outlook installed. Thus only one of the PCs in the network need to have a connection to a phone-line and other machines the LAN can show incoming calls. It is possible to import, edit and manage contacts with the supplied editor. History of calls with name, number of caller, called number and duration of the call can be stored. Besides the MS Outlook supported as the source for the addresses, any other ODBC-database could be used. This is a nice and easy product and is very good.

TapiRex caller id software shows a contact for an incoming phone-call with image, name and company. Microsoft Outlook is supported as source for the addresses as well as any other ODBC-database (like Access, mySQL, SQL-Server, ...). The program can even show incoming calls on any telephone plugged to any computer in your network (client-server mode). Any developer can extend the program with its open architecture. An SDK is available from the website. Many free plugins are available (like Speech output of caller, run any application on a call, notification and call history in Microsoft Media Center, ...).
